Yeah, the Conservative Party are actually far closer to the US Democrats, largely because American politics swings much further to the right.
It’s amazing how people pontificate and say things with such certainty when they clearly don’t pay any attention to the reality.
Yes? There have been 20 candidates for the Green Party who were investigated for anti-semitism.
Let’s not pretend that cranks only exist in Reform UK.
Hysterical nonsense, but I expect nothing less from Lemmy.
Yes. UKIP now are far-right (hence why you don’t hear of them anymore), but they were just a plain old Thatcherite right-wing party under Farage.
Not necessarily. Obviously the majority of the seats are going to Labour. Those are the voters they need to win back. They’re not going to do that by appealing to Reform voters.
Reform are right-wing, but they’re not far-right anymore than Jeremy Corbyn was apparently far-left.
Well obviously Lemmy would say this, but a single seat is meaningless. Even 13 (if true) means they don’t exactly have a huge amount of power.
If you’re a Labour supporter, yes. If you support the Conservatives, no. 😂

They open at 7:00, not 7:30.
There is a case for that, but I think the main driving force for turnout in this election will be the fact that people are just sick of the Conservatives and want to punish them.
As an election nerd, I would hate to live in Merseyside because it’s the most boring place electorally. 😂
Some of these look questionable, but YouGov’s MRP polling has been the most accurate in the past.
My constituency has the Conservatives not only losing, but going down to third!
The Europeans seem to cope just fine with it.
Cool. Hopefully he wins.
Yeah, this is just expectation management.
Which doesn’t answer my question because trans people aren’t treated the same as gay men were in the 80s. There isn’t the same laws against them, quite the opposite in fact.
And the depressing thing is that it will never change because the only parties with the power to change it benefit from the current system.
