  • My 6th grade science teacher taught us that blood is red but that some people think it is blue until it touches air because our veins look blue under our skin. He explained how the different wavelengths of light are absorbed differently and they was why it looks that way. Two years later my 8th grade science teacher taught us that blood is blue until it touches air. She was not happy when I told her she was wrong. I even explained it and told her to go talk to the other teacher if she still did not understand. She still would not listen to me. Over half the class was in the same sixth grade class as me but I was the only one that either remembered or was willing to stand up to the teacher. I finished losing faith in the education system on that day.

My city has a bunch: The spoon lady, miniature horse guy, topless fat lady, the guy that rides his Harley around pulling a trailer with a pig in it, Johnny sax, blunt man, and guitar hero are all the ones I can think of off the top of my head. I live in a weird city.

  • If I sleep on my stomach I can’t move my neck the next day, right side my right hand goes painfully numb, left side my left hand goes painfully numb, back both hands go numb. There is literally no position I can sleep in that I don’t wake up after a couple of hours and have to shift to a different position.

  • When I was a kid my mom was baking potatoes one time and realized partway through that she forgot to stab them before putting them in the oven. She quickly opened the oven and slid the rack out and stabbed one with a fork. Unfortunately it was too late. I was standing right next to the oven and potato exploded all over my mom and I as soon as the fork touched it.

  • My father in law has dementia and my mother in law has to hide certain foods from him so he doesn’t just constantly eat. Bananas are the main thing she has to hide. One day she was in the living room and noticed him standing in the kitchen eating a banana. She knew she had hidden them so she went to see if he had found her stash and when she got into the kitchen he turned around and offered her a bite of the stick of butter he was eating. He had peeled it like a banana and was just chomping away. After that the fridge got a padlock.
