The old in Japan have that problem. There have been other studies that have shown that you get people have significantly less problems with it. Japan has always been insular, but their politics and older age groups have always been more stagnant and less accepting.
Basically, don’t throw the whole country under the bus when it’s just the old farts that don’t want things to change.

I do think it was a case of trying to say “immigrants”, flubbing it, then just saying “migrants” because he realizes what it sounds like. Even the forced laughter afterwards has a sort of “oh shit that didn’t sound good” vibe to it.
Again, not defending this guy. But we have to remember, all sides of politics can spin stuff to fit their agenda, so we have to be discreet in our decisions and judgements, that’s how we stand apart from all the people just sucking down the news as gospel truth.
Also sounds like you had a crappy realtor. If you’re using a realtor, get them to work for you, that’s what they’re for. Give them the specs of the house you’re looking for, sure, but they should be calling you with listings, vetting the homes before they show them to you, handling negotiation relays and inspection setups, etc.
Just general advice, yes you pay them, but if they aren’t working for you, pay someone else.
The thing I tell people is that as a parent, you are going to put maybe a few hours into blocking them from getting to stuff. They are then going to spend as much time as they want trying to get through it. You can dig through concrete with a spoon if you’re patient enough.

If the GOP continue on the path they’re on eventually (hopefully) the Dems can win in a landslide and open up for another party to beat them. Right now we are still stuck with the two because potentially splitting the Dems is too much of a risk

Despite all the interesting advice in this thread the thing that helped me the most was accepting and getting used to the fact that if you’re going to lose weight you’re going to be hungry.
You’re not starving to death, you’re not dying, but there are times where you’re going to just have to be hungry and deal with it. Our bodies are very good at doing their best to keep us alive, and hunger is our bodies way of saying “we need to look for food”. The problem is we didn’t evolve that skill at a time when looking for food only takes a few minutes and can involve thousands of calories.
If you’re overweight your body is going to sound alarm bells that it’s eating into the reserves, but you need to acknowledge that and let the reserves get used so you can lose weight.
I don’t think these are for parasocial interaction at all. Maybe for social media as a whole yes. But dating apps are pretty much intentionally trying to meet people. Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok sure, those are just interaction simulators. But those aren’t what we are talking about here.
As a guy, these apps suck. I’ve met a few people on them, but it’s very obvious that they are deliberately hiding matches and people that are your type behind a paywall. It’s not in their best interest to show you people that have the same interests as you, it’s better if they bundle them all up and slap a big fat price tag on the front.
People are starting to realize these apps aren’t about hooking up or making connections, they’re about squeezing desperate people looking for love into giving money for the promise of finding it.
Yeah I’m not giving him credit at all but there’s definitely a very real undeniable difference between talking smack and being threatened and all that and actually getting shot at, hit (even if barely) and nearly killed. Trump is an ego inflated asshole, but the sight of your own blood, especially at his age when death is already a daily thought I’m sure, can seriously fuck you up mentally.

Nope. Your vote always counts. It may not feel like it counts much, it’s one vote, but it will absolutely count. We have to stop this rhetoric of “my vote doesn’t count” because it’s how people justify not voting at all.
Especially from the “not trump” side of things, voter turnout is the only thing that stops them from winning. If you can give right/republicans one thing they have consistent voter turnout, but every single time overall voter counts are boosted (Like during Obama’s initial election) the needle of results sways strongly towards Democrats/independents.
So please, please stop saying your vote doesn’t count. Because even if it’s a single vote it is SO important that you go and do it.

I have a friend who open carries everywhere as well. We do not live in a dangerous area at all and he carries this thing to the grocery store.
