Do you know everyone in your area? Do you know who all is voting? I used to say the same thing and now I vote in all elections including midterm because I see all these people who keep saying that their votes don’t matter and I never want to be part of that again. You are one out of hundreds saying the same thing who are part of the problem. Maybe if people actually used those few minutes to go vote then maybe that would change, but it’ll never happen if you sit around being defeatist.

Nothing anyone says here is going to make a difference. Let them tuck their heads in the sand. I removed all my explainer of how the system works and doesn’t work. I’m not gonna argue with zoomers who just want to make themselves look like a victim.

There were deep red states that swung to purple because people actually went and voted. You are one out of many saying this and therefore making it worse. If you don’t cast your vote then your vote actually means nothing and you’ve done nothing to change it.

No one can be forced to vote for a specific person, but the options are currently democrat or dictatorship. Not voting is a vote for the dictatorship. If it weren’t such a dangerous candidate then we wouldn’t be pushing for this vote. Blocking your ears and saying “lalala” doesn’t make things better. Ignorance won’t be bliss.

If we split the votes between third party and democrat again, we’re done for. We’ve already lost this race. Hard stuck democrats won’t be convinced to vote third party. There won’t be enough votes to win. Unfortunately, this is a democrat or fascist dictatorship vote.

I may be 32, but I can throw in my own thoughts here. Stop paying attention to “societal norms”. Societal norms are just there to control people. Do what you love. Watch cartoons and listen to whatever music you want to. You don’t have to be an adult at all times. Take a break once in a while.

Furry is the interest in anthropomorphic animal art. The fandom is just like any other fandom with a wide variety of people with different levels of interest in it. There are many neurodivergent people who use fursuits as a way to make social interaction easier and there are those who just enjoy entertaining people or just enjoy being in suit and being silly. I won’t deny that there is some people who take things too far or who consent to doing things in private, but it’s just like any fandom. People doing NSFW things in costume is in every fandom. As long as they keep it consensual and in private, what does it matter?

There are also many people who very much prefer SFW only for everything they do or people who are middle ground. Hell, there’s actually quite a few average people who just want to be part of a community who enjoy the art and the atmosphere. It is a hugely varied fandom with a lot of misconceptions.

They are in fact hot, but there’s ways to be comfortable in a fursuit, such as wearing underarmour/lycra/spandex. Sweat wicking stuff is a life saver in a fursuit.

Honestly, we’re basically just voting for Kamala when we vote for Biden.

And this right here is why nothing is getting done. Go vote and not just every 4 years, but in midterms too.

I am registered as an independent. I would like to vote third party eventually, but this is not the time and I think switching the candidate will backfire. We are playing with fire here. When it comes to voting between keeping a democracy or putting ourselves into a dictatorship, I’m voting for democracy. The people who are “protesting” by not voting or by voting third party this term are advocating for a Trump win. It’s an attempt to divide the party in the same way that they did when Hillary was running. If Trump wins, democracy dies and genocide will be encouraged. Don’t forget, he supported wiping out Gaza and encourages violence against other races, religions, political views, and LGBTQ+ people. He’ll wipe out democracy and everything we’ve worked for over hundreds of years. All the protections put in place against poisoning the planet will be gone and climate change policies wiped out. This man plans to do so much damage.

I’ll be honest. I’m scared of a loss here. I’m trans and with the amount of vitriol Trump and his followers spew, I feel like if I don’t vote this way, I’m getting put in a dangerous situation, as are all LGBTQ+ people and many others. Please don’t fuck around here. Don’t make this about your pride. There is too much at risk here. Vote Biden and keep voting in mid-terms as well. We don’t stand a chance otherwise.

Protesters, if you really want to make a change, run for congress. The only way to make real change is to put more decent critical thinking people in congress.

The Supreme Court is out of control. No one should have this much power.

What happened with Hillary is that idiots decided to vote third party for a planted candidate and fucked everything up. Dividing progressive votes means a loss for progressives in every case. You will be part of the problem when Trump gets reelected and dismantles democracy. That will be the end of voting and the reemergence of mass suffrage. Oh and I forgot, climate change will continue to get worse and people will start getting sick because Trump has already promised to end climate/pollution regulations. Equal rights will be stripped and slavery will be brought back even for white people because, chances are, minimum wage will be wiped out. This dude plans to do so much damage if/when he gets back in office.
