To be fair, they didn’t actually say that what the others called it was smart or correct, just that they did call it that. But given nuance can be deduced from people’s words, I think we can both assume that the person you’re engaging with isn’t playing with a full deck of cards…
Your first sentence is somewhat correct, I’d argue that dealing with any kind of absolute like you have done is incredibly dumb though. Of course being outspoken can get you bullied. It may be less likely in a university/college setting, but it’s definitely gonna happen. And your second second sentence is so wrong it’s almost comical. Bullying at a tertiary education level is so common that I guarantee there’s a bunch of studies done on it and probably a wiki page for it too.
Edit: lol, yep, shit loads of studies (and there’s plenty more to be found than just these few), and the wiki exists.
Honestly, it’s worse, if you’re thinking of the Chappelle’s Show skit. At least the character Clayton Bigsby is also blind so he literally doesn’t know he’s actually white.
How can that be a classic behaviour? For one, they haven’t done it, as illustrated by how hard they’ve cracked down on any facist behaviour since the cessation of WII. And wouldn’t they have had to have done it more than once for it to be a classic behaviour? They’ve literally been nazists once. They’d have to have been nazists more than once, and gone through the phases you’ve described for any normal person to call it a “classic”.
You know what is an example of a classic behaviour though? Internet “experts” who just trust what they’re given and don’t do any research about it. Like you’ve done. Want proof? Read the other reply to the comment you’ve replied to here. And if that’s not enough, explain to me why the German foreign minister hasn’t been jailed/charged/etc for these remarks. Never trust just one source.
Nah, it’s easy to imagine that. Multiplayer. The Nazi team wins. Swastikas everywhere. Pretty sure it’s why cod no longer has swastikas in multiplayer anymore (and if I’m remembering rightly, they kept it in the single player as they felt it wasn’t offensive as it is given with a hell of a lot of context that multiplayer rounds simply don’t have).
Actually, she did have HIV in the movie, the screenwriter confirmed it a few years ago. She did have hep-c in the book though.
Which is totally fine. Your usage of them as you did would be called a scare quote.
You sure as shit don’t. They used the quotation marks just fine. So fine in fact, that this usage you are so against is a well established grammatical device, look up “scare quotes”.
So? I never claimed it wasn’t. Maybe me being able to point out someone is being an arsehole is cos I’m one. Doesn’t change the fact that they’re still an arsehole.
We don’t have the reputation Americans have. Especially online. We may be just as bad, which is a matter of personal opinion, but we sure as shit don’t prove it online so often and readily as those yanks do.
Which part of that was directed at you? I didn’t lump you in the “most people” category. You did that. I also didn’t disparage you with the second sentence. Nor with the third. It’s all talking about people and your country in general. None of it singles you out. I can understand how an idiot might think that, but that doesn’t mean it makes it the case. Now, I did go you in my next comment, I’ll admit that. But that was only in reply to you. Like I said before, jog on you sanctimonious prick.
Never mind, I just looked at your profile and have seen you’re American. I take back what I said about you being an idiot, for the average American that goes online, you’re basically Einstein…
Naw, did I offend the idiots feelings? You came at me first, mate, if you can’t handle the heat, don’t even step into the kitchen…
Also, if you were truly offended, you wouldn’t have made this latest comment at all. But you just haaaaaaad to tell the world how much more “better” you are. Jog on.
Hang the fuck on. You somehow think that your experience living on a “small island” speaks for “the average person”? Get to fuck. I guarantee your islands population isn’t even large enough to be a rounding error on the global scale. My attitude is fine considering I didn’t realise I was talking to an actual moron.
But this whole thread illustrates a problem the internet has as a whole, fuckwits like you don’t even bother to research anything. You read something in discussions and chose to take it as gospel without bothering to check if it had a shred of truth to it? And then doubled down on it as if your tiny worldview somehow was what everyone experiences? There is no difference between you doing that and those who treat Fox News as the holy truth. I may have “attitude” now, but it’s cos I have to occasionally deal with people like you, and I don’t suffer fools gladly.
Yeah, so maybe “most people” should shut the fuck up and not spew nonsense about a topic they know literally nothing about? And what kind of arse backwards country do you live in? Every tyre store I’ve been in in Australia has had a number of tyre and wheel packages on offer. I literally had a chat with my tyre guy the last time I got tyres as they had a package on sale for 70% off (off topic, but it was the last one they had and it had sat for over 6mths). This isn’t a specialist tyre place that only specialises in these packages either. Hell, here’s the wheel and tyre packages page for Australia’s biggest tyre retailer. These packages are literally on the showroom floor when you walk in. You’d have to be so dumb that you should be committed if you walked in these stores and missed them.

You don’t understand basic English comprehension.
Let’s break down your initial comment.
But if he was shooting pub goers
He wasn’t so the rest of your comment is irrelevant. He had shot pub goers, but he wasn’t when he was killed. He had been subdued. Don’t need to break down the rest cos it’s as useful as you are in general to society, not very.
The article says “after the shooting” the gunman was killed.
Pretty fucking clear to me. Note it doesn’t say “during” or any of its synonyms.
Pretty sure you’re not a “car person” cos those packages abound for many other vehicles on the road. Which is further reinforced by me plugging in “wheel and tyre package” into ye Olde google and getting a shitload of results for, surprise surprise, wheel and tyre packages for a variety of cars. From your daily run abouts, to 4x4s, to suvs, to sports cars. Here’s one site that offers over 20,000 wheel and tyre packages.. So, yeah, your assumptions are woefully wrong.
“Because drugs” is probably the closest were gonna get to context.
