I’m a millennial in the US and have owned two manual cars at the same time(5, 6 speeds). I still own the 6 speed. After you get use to it you just do it. Kinda like driving now versus when you first got your license. A lot of that stuff just moves to the background. It isn’t any different to me than driving an automatic. I live in a valley in the mountains too. Steep areas are pretty common here.
That all being said I do still prefer manual transmission vehicles.
