Without seeing the art, I can think of a few explanations.

1. The artist is drawing a concept, say an epidemic/disease, as a monster to make it easier to communicate. From what I understand aincient art is often very symbilc, which would fit this very well.
2. Propaganda, the ruler wants art that shows them as powerfull, strong, and fighting/killing a sky monster is a powerfull message without angering neighbouring leaders into a real conflict.
3. Fiction/immagination, today works of fiction are very common, so why not in the past as well? Someone painted something just because it looked cool, is that so unresonable?

I am using a very generic ISP and they tend to have a dim view of running servers on their network.

I did have an RPi running SSH and a Mumble server directly connected to the internet years ago, but after a few years I realized that I was bringing needless attention to my network when I found my server on Shodan.

Sigh, when I grew up, I was allways taught to save money so that I have a buffer to fall back on. This concept seems to have completely gone out the window for busniesses lately.

I dislike the talk about how capitalism is bad as a general concept, but when seeing stuff like this I do agree with it in parts.

Ok, so let’s solve the issue.

There is too much electricity, so generating power to transmit to the network will cost us money.

This has an easy solution, just don’t transmit it to the network.

Build a battery facility where you store the power instead, infact if the price of electricity is negative, use the power on the grid and charge your batteries as well, I mean, when the electricity cost is negative, you are being paid to consume power.

Then when the sun goes down, and the electricity price goes up, you sell the charge you have in the batteries.

Depending on your location you could even set up a pumped storage system, where instead of batteries getting charged, you use the cheap excess energy to pump a resarvoir full of water, and release it when you need the power.

What I mean is that I can absolutely believe that a solid state battery could power the next gen smart watch, I doubt it will.

Just as an RTG could power my phone, but I doubt that it will be powered by it.
