If I remember right, about a year ago they were banning a lot of Linux players. It might be happening again.
I can appreciate a website making a list like this rather than putting five games to a page to garner more clicks! I definitely have different tastes than the reviewers though, which is fine.
Yeah, I would put V in there as well! I still don’t like VI nearly as much, even though I’ve played it quite a few times.
I don’t play games to get in the mood for a season, but I’ve noticed the last couple of years that I’m likely to play some games a lot more in certain seasons!
I’ve never heard of this show, but from what you’ve said and the quick research I’ve done it sounds like something I would be interested in. Thanks for the mention of it!
It definitely could be, I run into weird issues like that sometimes! I had pulled up this post through a few other instances to make sure my links would work, and one of them didn’t have the two posts I made in the community in the last few days.
I’m the moderator!
Yes, and there’s a community over at lemmy.world as well! It’s definitely good to have redundancy though. Defederation could also be an issue depending on the instance.
I’m going to have to spend some more time playing it again! It worked fine on my desktop install previously, so I’m curious to know what they changed to bump it to verified. I’m guessing UI tweaks or something with the launcher.
You can (at least the last time I ran an install) get both 10 and 11 installed without a Microsoft account, 11 just requires this process to do it. If you have an old ISO of 11 around it should allow a local account if you don’t connect to the internet, but they apparently patched that out now.
I had been talking with someone else on here about trying EVE in that playstyle a while back! I never tried it, but it always sounded interesting. Logistics sounds like it could be an interesting thing to try in Foxhole, I may need to give it a go.
True, that would be better. I was just going to watch them two nights in a row, but I might do that instead!
Is anyone here planning to watch the episodes over the time they’re supposed to occur? I’m thinking of watching part 1 tomorrow due to it being the date on the calendar onscreen, and part 2 the next day.
Okay, thanks for the information! I appreciate the offer, I’ll have to keep that in mind if I decide to get it. I think the logistics end of the game could be a lot of fun.
I generally just don’t play a lot of online games anymore. I have a job where I have to deal with people all day, so the last thing I want to do is go home and deal with angry people while I’m trying to relax!
I do play some Elder Scrolls Online and Star Trek Online, but I primarily do single player content. The normal extent of my interaction with human players is to help them if they need help, or to thank them if they help me.
I keep looking at Foxhole, but I’ve never tried it yet. Is the non combat segment of the game pretty chill overall? I’m not really a big fan of competitive MMOs, but the behind the scenes aspect does interest me. I hear about a decent amount of positivity in the playerbase, but I’ve definitely heard negativity about the recent state of the game.
My favorite theme is definitely Deep Space Nine!
Favorite scene is a little harder though. I’ll probably have to go with the montage scene in the last DS9 episode, which had a slow instrumental medley of The Way You Look Tonight and the DS9 incidental music.
I also think the scene in DS9: The Siege of AR-558 where Bashir is playing the recording of I’ll Be Seeing You is really good too. It works even better on a rewatch after you see how important the song becomes to Nog.
https://blissos.org/ is another one I just remembered as well.
