Sounds more like you’re describing ai generated content than kids.

DIGGY DIGGY HOLE
For those unaware, what is the significance of it being written in Haskell?
Ah, gotcha. Thanks!
Video is private, can’t watch?
I’ve been on Fi for years, I think basically since the first year they started ProjectFi. So much cheaper than my old Verizon or sprint accounts…
A good Tribes game is not in the cards right now. Players should try harder to be entertained.
(this is a play on a quote from the admins of an old Hi-Rez game called Global Agenda. During the nightly clan vs clan competitive “global map” window, the game was broken, matches wouldn’t load or crash part-way through. Players submitted a ton of tickets, and some of them were not constructive and just said “Fix the game”. Admins got butt-hurt and spammed the entire player-base with “Fixing the game is not in the cards right now. Players should try harder to win.”… I am still very salty about that…)
Edit: Oddly enough, this was right after they launched Tribes: Ascend, just to bring the leap of context full circle.
That’s the best explanation of this I’ve ever seen, thank you!
You are expecting dominos to do it for you. That’s literally what you are asking. They aren’t going to do that for you because they make more money if you ignore the “deals”. Even a tiny barrier is going to keep out some number of people that don’t find value in spending 30 seconds to save 25% on a $30 tab because they have the money to not even notice, which increases profitability. Their line goes up. Our system forces all these companies to worry about that line going up.
That said, they aren’t trying to hide it from you, it is the largest thing on their store page, and their people on the phone will happily tell you about it.
Someone else made the same analogy, it is just like going to a drive through and ordering a burger, fries, and drink separately and not asking for a combo. Same products, but most places it will cost you more to order them separately than to order the combo.
If you are still mad about it, you aren’t mad at Dominos, you are mad at the core of our current economic system.
Dude could have saved like $6+tax and gotten more food, and is still arguing that nothing could have been done…
Lead a horse to water and all that…
What’s mildly infuriating here is OP… People are trying to explain how you could have saved almost 1/3 of your purchase price and you just argue with them and keep shouting from your soapbox.
Unfortunately, price shopping is a part of every transaction if you are trying to get the best deal. If you aren’t invested enough to read the largest banner on the shop website to save almost 1/3 of your total, then getting the best price was clearly not a concern when you ordered. Yes, you are expected to do that yourself, just like buying anything else in the commerce system we have been using for decades. It’s real boomer/privileged energy expecting that to just be done for you.
Ah I miss 1st and 15th… It was so great. My jib recently changed to every other Friday it it has royally fucked up all my auto-bill-pays…
All of them i’ve actually wanted to try out I was able to stream via the xbox game pass website in a browser. It is not a perfect experience, but it is “good enough” on a decent internet connection. I understand that if you physically have an xbox you can also run the game on that and stream it to your linux desktop for much better performance and latency, but I have not tried this myself.
That said, it is pretty rare. The only ones I’ve tried that with were fortnite (a friend wanted to play the lego game mode, but it was short lived - starved for content, lol) and starfield (it was free on game pass and I wasn’t sure I wanted to buy it).
I’m pretty sure it is literally a transcription of a trump speech…
Edit: oh fuck, I just noticed the name on the paper is also Donald Trump… Lol I guess I “ate the onion”.
They’ll probably come to the “logical conclusion” that storing the data locally on the machine poses “too much risk” and just move the storage to their servers “for your safety”…
Would have to do some swimming, the waters close to the coast are still under US law. You need to get 12 nautical miles to get to international waters and away from this lunacy.
People have the ability to block communities as they see fit individually and also follow whatever communities they want and only browse their subscribed list. (steering wheel)
But when popular communities are on an instance that is very much “get on board or get out” to the point they ban users from every community on their instance for having differing political views, it is very much reasonable to try to start or promote communities run on different instances controlled by better admins. (where the roads go (ok, so building roads is a bad analogy, it is more like when a place has terrible sidewalks so people walk through the grass and they wear in those little dirt-path short cuts and eventually no one uses the sidewalks))
That’s partly true, but I wouldn’t say the assault was “basically suicide” when they had an entire Star Destroyer full of storm troopers boarding a ship that fits in the docking bay. Even if they went 2 for 1 on losses, the Empire still wins with “minimal losses” comparatively. There just isn’t much screen time of them being exceptionally good soldiers.
I wasn’t suggesting we should see Vader telling them to miss, just thinking it would be nice to see more storm troopers being bad-asses throughout the films. It felt like most of the time the Empire won a fight throughout the entire original trilogy was by bringing overwhelming numbers and firepower more than the troops being especially good. The opening scenes even felt like to me.
I’m curious, could you skip a a DE and window manager and still run full screen graphical applications like games? Run it really like the DOS days when you just changed to the correct directory and ran the executable and then doom launches…?
None of those things help you see more stuff at one time… I’ll take physical screen real-estate over virtual screen real-estate any day of the week.
